Goodman, Jules Eckert
(1876-1962)
   Born in Gervais, Oregon, he moved from journalism to playwriting. His plays include The Man Who Stood Still (1908), Mother (1910), The Silent Voice (1914), The Trap and Treasure Island (1915), The Man Who Came Back (1916), and Chains (1923). He collaborated with Montague Glass on the popular Potash and Perlmutter comedies.
